EBOO with UBI Therapy
What is EBOO with UVBI Therapy?
The intent of EBOO with UVBI is to disinfect the blood and increase the amount of oxygen in your body to boost your immune system to promote healing through cell regeneration. There are several types of ways to administer ozone therapy, Phoenix Integrative Medicine utilizes the latest EBOO with UVBI technology. This stands for extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation with ultraviolet blood irradiation. The process administers medical-grade ozone intravenously into the blood to treat acute or chronic conditions. Additionally, the therapy filters and sterilizes the blood utilizing ultraviolet (UV) germicidal irradiation. In general ozone therapy boosts immunity, improves blood circulation, suppresses infections, and reduces oxidative stress (relates to inflammation and chronic disease). Ozone therapy is not one pill for one ill, but it modulates the compromised immune system and tries to make it more in balanced. Ozone Therapy has a long history, dating back to the 1950’s, as part of overall integrative patient specific treatment plans.
How does it work?
Intravenous Ozone Therapy is administered via the vein by drawing blood intravenously into the O3UV device and then re-introducing it into the patient. The O3UV device filters the patients blood using a dialysis filter, then mixes the blood with Ozone, heparin and normal saline, and then sterilizes the blood utilizing three wavelengths of UV, UV-A, UV-B and UV-C. The treated blood is then re-infused back into the patient via a separate IV line.
What is the patient experience?
The patient can expect the therapy to be a similar experience to that of an IV treatment. Blood is drawn from the patient’s arm, intravenously, transported into the O3UV device wherein it’s treated and then re-infused back into the arm via a separate IV line. The therapy can be expected to last 50 minutes total. Patient improvement is a factor of the condition being treated. If an acute condition, a positive result can be experienced immediately but for chronic conditions, results can be more subtle. As with any treatments patient experiences can differ as treatment plans are patient specific.
StemWave™ Therapy
What is StemWave™?
StemWave™ is a non-invasive treatment that utilizes area directed technology (ADT) leveraging harmless electro-hydraulic focused sound waves to alleviate musculoskeletal aches, pains, and inflammation. StemWave™ is an FDA listed medical device used to promote healing by activating the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
How does it work?
By applying StemWaves to damaged tissue or areas of inflammation the technology activates biological responses to kickstart the body’s natural healing process as if a new injury has occurred. Ultimately, the StemWaves promote/activate healing agents within the body to a targeted treatment area. There are several medical devices that utilize acoustic waves for musculoskeletal treatment, but the StemWave™ device provides key advantages over other acoustic devices in the market. Specifically, it provides a wider focal zone, higher energy depth, fewer overall treatments, faster treatment times and is easier to use effectively to target damaged tissue or areas of inflammation.
What is the patient experience?
The treatment is non-invasive and involves the movement of the treatment source, a wand device, in the vicinity of the injury. As the wave from the source permeates healthy tissue, you’re unlikely to feel much sensation, but as the waves reach the affected/damaged tissue you will experience slight discomfort. This discomfort is usually mild and can be adjusted accordingly during the treatment provided verbal patient feedback. The discomfort is manageable and does not necessitate the use of numbing cream or anesthetics.
O-Shot® Sexual Wellness
What is O-Shot® (Orchid Shot™)?
O-shot® is a treatment for women to help relieve them of urinary incontinence and sexual problems in the bedroom. The procedure utilizes blood-derived growth factors, also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), to rejuvenate and regenerate healthy vaginal tissue. For decades, PRP has been known to help with the repair and restoration of nerve tissue and can help restore sexual function in some women. The O-shot® procedure and training is a proprietary technology and method that has been developed by Dr. Charles Runels and is only provided by trained and qualified physicians.
How does it work?
The O-shot® formulation uses a small amount of calcium chloride to promote the release of different growth factors that trigger unipotent stem cells to grow younger tissue and new nerves. By applying the O-shot® procedure and technology the growth factors in platelets make use of what the body normally uses to heal. Employing localized injection of PRP it stimulates cellular processes involved in endometrial regeneration to repair and restore healthy vaginal tissue.
What is the patient experience?
Dr. Hinman has been trained and certified to administer the O-shot® to our patients at Phoenix Integrative Medicine. The procedure entails taking a blood draw from the patient’s arm as well as applying an anesthetic numbing cream to the vagina in preparation for the procedure. Utilizing a proprietary developed method, the blood sample is centrifuged to isolate the blood-derived growth factors. Then, using a very thin needle, the growth factors are injected into the clitoris and upper vagina. Since the areas have been numbed with the anesthetic cream the patient will feel little to no pain. The procedure itself takes about 10-15 minutes. It is expected that the patient will enjoy the effects of the O-shot® procedure almost immediately as the growth factors enhance the sexual response.
P-Shot® Sexual Wellness
What is P-Shot® (Priapus Shot®)?
P-shot® is a treatment for men that addresses Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and improvement of penile size. The procedure utilizes blood-derived growth factors, also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), to rejuvenate and regenerate healthy tissue, renew collagen, blood vessels and nerve connections. The P-shot® promotes new blood vessels to form, as such, improving performance, resulting in better erections and in some cases slight increase in girth. The P-shot® procedure and training is a proprietary technology and method that has been developed by Dr. Charles Runels and is only provided by trained and qualified physicians.
How does it work?
As men age blood flow diminishes to the penis causing issues getting and maintaining an erection. The P-shot® is a long-term solution to offered prescription drugs and involves the benefit of injecting a man’s own growth factors to improve sexual performance. The formulation uses a trace of calcium chloride to the patients extracted PRP to promote the release of different growth factors that trigger unipotent stem cells to grow younger tissue and new nerves. By injecting PRP directly into the erectile tissue of the penis, growth factors work to promote blood flow, vessel growth, and nerve connections. By increasing blood flow to the penis, it results in improved erections.
What is the patient experience?
The procedure takes about 30 minutes and involves the injecting of blood derived growth factors, a.k.a. platelet rich plasma (PRP), into the erectile tissue of the penis, the corpus cavernosum. PRP is sourced from the patient through a blood draw in the arm followed by the blood being centrifuged to isolate the PRP for injection. Prior to injecting, the penis is numbed using an anesthetic cream, so the patient feels little to no pain during the procedure. Post treatment the patient will use a penis pump twice a day for 10 minutes over a six-week period. Results will be noticeable around the three-week mark with full results noted after three months. Sexual activity is in no way hindered and can be resumed immediately after the procedure.
Priapus Toxin™ Procedure
What is Priapus Toxin™?
Priapus Toxin™ is the application of Botox to the penis for the treatment of Erectile Dysfunction (ED), premature ejaculation and improved sexual health. Dr. Charles Runels has developed the Priapus Toxin™ procedure and is only provided by trained, qualified and licensed physicians.
How does Priapus Toxin™ work?
The Priapus Toxin™ treatment seeks to improve male erections via promoting good penile circulation and penile firmness. The method injects the corpus cavernosum of the penis with botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT). Botox relaxes the intra-cavernous smooth muscle of the penis, as such, it increases the inflow of blood into the penis for enhanced erectile function. In treating premature ejaculation Priapus Toxin™ is used to relax the bulbospongiosus, a superficial muscle that extends from the center of the perineum. By relaxing the bulbospongiosus muscle Botox inhibits rhythmic contractions, delaying ejaculation.
What is the patient experience?
The Priapus Toxin™ procedure will involve numbing of the penis utilizing a numbing cream so the patient feels little to no pain. After numbing, multiple injections, are made with a small thin needle to various parts of the penis, directly into the corpus covernosum. Post procedure the patient may see an increase in length and/or girth of the penis. The length of the procedure can be expected to take 20-30 minutes with an expectation of future procedures as the effects of Priapus Toxin™ diminishes (approximately 6 months after procedure). Dr. Hinman has been trained, certified and is licensed to administer the Priapus Toxin™ procedure to our patients at Phoenix Integrative Medicine. If interested consult with Dr. Hinman for more information.
Stellate Ganglion Block
What is Stellate Ganglion Block Therapy/Procedure?
Traditionally, the Stellate Ganglion Block has been repurposed for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), Long Covid and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). The Stellate Ganglion Block procedure is a procedure to anesthetize the sympathetic nerve signals passed from the stellate ganglion to the head, neck, arm, and portions of the upper chest to block or reduce symptoms of pain and discomfort. Located in the neck, near your first ribs, on either side of the voice box the stellate ganglions are each a bundle of nerves that control functions such as heart rate, blood pressure, perspiration, among others. The procedure helps treat Raynaud’s Disease, neuropathic pain conditions, swelling, and sweating as it relates to the upper body by injecting local anesthetic into the ganglion block.
How does it work?
By injecting local anesthetic into the nerve bundle pain signals are in a sense blocked from synapsing problematic signals to the upper body. These blocks can be therapeutic and/or diagnostic to relieve pain or to locate the source of the pain. This treatment addresses a wide range of pain symptoms, treatments ranging from nerve injuries, shingles, angina, PTSD to blood circulation. The procedure may involve one or a series of treatments, weeks apart to months, to provide long-term pain relief.
What is the patient experience?
Dr. Hinman has performed over 1,000 of these procedures and only utilizes continuous ultrasound to view the anatomy of the neck for precise placement of the needle beside the sympathetic nerve. The procedure begins with checking the patients’ blood pressure, applying skin temperature monitors to the patients’ hands, and administering an intravenous line (IV). As necessary the patient lays on their back and positioning for access to the neck. The physician will begin with a sterile prep of the neck and ultrasound to view the anatomy continuously. Once the area has been pinpointed a small needle will be utilized to administer the anesthetic. The anesthetic medication is slowly administered, which takes about 5-10 minutes, during which the patient may experience a slight sting when the local anesthetic is administered. The patient can expect to feel the effects of the medication after 5-10 minutes.
IV Ozone Therapy
What is IV Ozone Therapy?
The intent of Ozone Therapy is to increase the amount of oxygen in your body to boost your immune system to promote healing through cell regeneration. The process administers medical-grade ozone intravenously indirectly into the blood to treat acute or chronic conditions by forming ozonides. In general ozone therapy boosts immunity, improves blood circulation, suppresses infections, and reduces oxidative stress (relates to inflammation and chronic disease). Ozone therapy is not one pill for one ill, but it modulates the compromised immune system and tries to make it more in balanced. Ozone Therapy has a long history, dating back to World War I and now as part of overall integrative patient specific treatment plans.
How does it work?
Intravenous Ozone Therapy is administered into the vein by drawing blood intravenously into a container outside of the body, introducing and mixing ozone with the blood and then re-infusing the blood back into the patient. This process is repeated several times, is patient specific, and based on the practitioner’s input and utilized ozone concentration. There are several types of ways to administer ozone therapy, Phoenix Integrative Medicine does so utilizing EBOO with UVBI. This stands for extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation with ultraviolet blood irradiation.
What is the patient experience?
The patient can expect the therapy to be a similar experience to that of any IV treatment. Blood is drawn from the patient’s arm, intravenously, transported into a medical device/machine wherein it’s mixed with ozone and then re-infused back into the arm. Dependent on the number of passes undertaken the process can take between 1-2 hours. Patient improvement is a factor of the condition being treated. If an acute condition, a positive result can be experienced immediately but for chronic conditions, results can be more subtle. As with any treatments patient experiences can differ as treatment plans are patient specific.
Peptide Therapy
What is Peptide Therapy?
Peptide Therapy utilizes synthetic and modified natural peptides, short chains of amino acids similar to proteins, intravenously to provide regenerative care. Our bodies naturally produce peptides but as we age production and levels decline in our bodies. As such, Peptide treatments can replenish peptide levels to provide health benefits for the patient. Even though there are thousands of different peptides in the human body with a wide range of functions, Phoenix Integrative Medicine focuses on a handful of the best peptide therapies.
How does it work?
After consulting with the physician, a regenerative treatment plan will be formulated, and peptides will be introduced Intravenously, subcutaneously, intramuscularly or orally as appropriate, into the blood stream. By introducing a specific peptide/s, as it relates to the treatment plan, it directs cells and signaling molecules to trigger specific functions or biological pathways. This utilizes the body’s own immune and/or biological functions to promote healing and recovery.
What is the patient experience?
The patient’s experience is similar to that of receiving an IV treatment in the arm. The peptide therapy will expect to take 30-60 minutes, depending on the volume of peptides to be introduced intravenously. Treatment plans at Phoenix Integrative Medicine offer a handful of peptide therapies that are focused on formulations to improve cognitive function, enhance the patient’s immune system, reduction in inflammation, decreased joint pain, improved sexual performance, improved musculoskeletal issues and weight loss.
Vitamin Infusion Therapy
What is Vitamin Infusion Therapy?
Vitamin Therapy is a treatment that infuses a large dose of vitamins directly into the bloodstream intravenously. Utilizing an intravenous delivery, it allows the body to absorb a higher dose of minerals and vitamins directly into the system versus oral ingestion. Factors like age, metabolism, and the state of health can influence how vitamins are absorbed through food and supplements taken orally. Vitamin Infusion Therapy allows for an effective way for cells to receive nutrients to maintain good health and to fight illnesses.
How does it work?
There are different vitamin cocktails that can be formulated, customized by the physician, to target patient specific medical conditions that may need attention. The importance of a physician’s supervision is necessary to ensure that the correct amounts, the proper electrolyte levels and the proper formulations are administered to suit the patients’ need. Vitamin Infusions are used to treat migraines, dehydration, withdrawal, asthma, fatigue, diabetes, and depression, among other conditions. The advantages of Vitamin Infusion Therapy is that it allows for the body to receive hydration and take in specialized nutrients directly into the system.
What is the patient experience?
The treatment is similar to that of receiving an IV into your arm. The immediate effects of Vitamin Infusion Therapy are different with each patient but, in general, patients experience almost immediate feelings of being energized and refreshed. Most patients will feel a higher level of energy 4 days to 2 weeks after the treatment. For treatments to accelerate the metabolism and improve the skin, it may take up to 3 weeks before positive results are noticed. The Vitamin Infusion Therapy treatment has been effective for patients recovering from cancer treatments.
Regenerative Medicine
What is Regenerative Medicine?
Regenerative medicine is the practice of replacing, activating, or “regenerating” human cells to repair tissues and organs to re-establish normal function. It is meant to not only equip the body to operate as it was originally designed to, but also to optimize its functionality for the best possible quality of life. Phoenix Integrative Medicine incorporates regenerative medicine procedures to provide an alternative, more natural, and less invasive option for patients.
How does it work?
Therapies mimic the natural programming of cellular evolution so that the body can easily access resources to heal, correct injuries, and replenish deficiencies and find homeostasis. Phoenix Integrative Medicine utilizes a variety of techniques to encourage the body to heal, one such product, EV-PURE product for cellular regeneration therapies. The EV-PURE is a decellularized product consisting of nano sized micro-pods containing growth factors, cytokines and nucleic acids (described here after as components) secreted from the membranes of placental derived Medicinal Signaling Cells. The components within this product support healthy cell-to-cell communication, provide anti-inflammatory effects, contribute to tissue and organ repair, support neural communication.
What is the patient experience?
The patient experience will be dependent on the proposed treatment plan. Regenerative medicine is based on utilizing your own body to heal and doing so with non-invasive techniques. Treatment plans may involve one or many offered services to provide a comprehensive care solution.
Ultrasound Guided Injections
What is an Ultrasound Guided Injection?
Ultrasound Guided Injection is a type of ultrasound-based imaging used to assist physicians to administer an injection and treatment in a precise and effective manner. Ultrasound allows the doctor to identify the surrounding joints, tendons, muscles, and tissue so to administer the treatment with accuracy to the specific target location. It can be used when administering injections to any part of the body and is especially effective for injections in the knee, shoulder, hip, spine and hydrodisection between muscles where precision is particularly important.
How does it work?
The Ultrasound itself uses no radiation and exercises a method that produces images of soft tissues using high frequency sound waves. This allows the doctor to see the images of all the muscles, ligaments, tendons, and joints surrounding the target location. It not only helps to pinpoint the exact location but also helps with the diagnosis of the problem. Ultrasound imaging allows for visibility of a clean path to the problematic location avoiding blood vessels and nerves endings and avoiding potential complications. An ultrasound probe creates signals that produce images that are communicated on to a screen for guidance during the procedure. With this, the physician can precisely map the path of the injection and the treatment to the target area with accuracy.
What is the patient experience?
Ultrasound itself is painless and non-invasive. Using an ultrasound probe and applied ultrasound gel over the target area the path for injection is identified. To avoid any discomfort from the injection, the physician may numb the skin so that the patient will experience minimal to no pain. The procedure takes 5 minutes as it pertains to the treatment.
